Bose Soundlink Color 2 Update4/25/2021
Is this firmware update dfferent than version 1.1.11 Any help on this would be appreciated.The SoundLink Color 2 will have an update to the firmware that will enable PartyStereo mode.
There has been a delay in deploying it and well update the status as soon as we can. You can check out the update here as well - Bose Connect App 5.0. The Bose speakers remembers the devices, because I can scroll through the list, and it will name out the devices I have paired with it, even saying the name of the same device I am trying to re-connect. I have had problems with both speakers not wanting to re-connect to already paired devices. It seems that I have to either clear the speakers memory or do a factory reset every time I want to use the speaker again. It simlpy will not re-connect to any devices again, such as iPhones, iPads, or Android phones, despite the speaker having all the devices in memory, and I can scroll through them and hear the device names being listed. I thought perhaps a new firmware might be available to address the issue, so I downloaded the latest Bose Updater software to my PC (version 6.0.0.4384), connected the USB Cable, and got a message that my speaker had the latest firmware available, which is listed as version 1.1.5. Can someone confirm the following: 1) Version 1.1.5 is indeed the latest firmware available for the original Soundlink Color Speaker 2) I downloaded the Bose Connect app on my iPhone, but it doesnt seem to support this model. Bose Soundlink Color 2 How To Make TheIs that accurate 3) I purchased these in March 2016, and dont remember updating the firmware ever, so has Bose just completely stopped supporting a 3 year old speaker and there have been no updates in over 3 years 4) Any suggestions on how to make the speaker not only remember the paired devices, but actually reconnect to them Thanks in advance. I would recommend that you call the customer care team as we have gone through all the possible troubleshooting and it had not worked, so it would appear to be an issue with the speaker that would need to be repaired. I would then recommend deleting the previous pairing on your source device. We do still support this unit even if we havent updated the firmware. Bose Soundlink Color 2 Bluetooth Device ListYes, the only way the speakers allow me to re-connect to any of my devices is to either: 1) clear the speakers memory of ALL devices by pressing the bluetooth button hold for ten seconds, until I hear Bluetooth device list cleared. Then I hit Forget Device on my iPhone or iPad, or other device. After that, the speaker will generally reconnect. If option 1 doesnt work, which happens occassionally, then I have to do a complete factory reset to get it to pair again. I hold the AUX and - buttons at the same time for ten seconds, and it will reset. It gets to be a huge hassle just hoping every time I turn on a speaker that I can get the bluetooth to connect, trying and re-trying to pair again. These are the only solutions I have found for re-connecting to the speakers. Perhaps Apple made some change to the Bluetooth module, or something else has changed, because I never used to have to do anything except turn the speaker on, and it would re-connect immediately. Bose Soundlink Color 2 Portable Devices OverI see several firmware updates to many other Bose portable devices over the last 2 years, but not the original Soundlink. As Apple and Android update their operating systems on a regular basis, it would seem Bose would need to do updates as well to keep the devices functioning. Am I the only one experiencing this connection issue Weird, because it is happening on BOTH of my speakers. I can confirm that the latest firmware is 01.1.5 and there have been no current updates needed for the SoundLink Color. Have you tried trying to pair another device to see if the issues still persist. Once you are lucky enough to get the device paired, the next time you try to re-connect the same device, it will say Mobile Device Not Found. If you tap the item in Bluetooth settings of any device to reconnect, it will fail to connect.
